prospecting automation

Automation should remove the admin, not the judgement.

Prospecting automation earns its keep when it finds new people every day inside limits you set — and stops when it should. Here's the loop, the guardrails that keep it from becoming a blast, and what happens when your ICP runs dry.

The daily loop

Six steps, running on a schedule in your timezone.

01

Discover

Find companies matching your ICP, then pull verified contacts inside them — capped at 15 people per company so you don't strip-mine one account.

02

Enrich

Each prospect is enriched with LinkedIn and company data: headcount, industry, location, seniority and role.

03

Verify

Every address is verified before it's eligible to be emailed. Risky and unverified contacts are skipped, not gambled on.

04

Draft

The email is written from your positioning and the segment's real signals — regenerate with your own context any time.

05

Send on a cap

A set number of emails per day, from your own connected Gmail, paced rather than blasted.

06

Report and learn

A daily recap of everyone contacted, with one-click thumbs up or down that changes who gets prospected tomorrow.

The guardrails that matter

A seniority floor that never drops

Even when the system relaxes other filters to find supply, it won't start emailing interns and assistants. Junior titles are filtered out at every rung.

15 contacts per company, maximum

Mining thirty people at one company is how you get marked as spam by an entire domain. The cap is enforced per website, and maxed-out companies are skipped without spending credits.

Verification before quota

Unverified contacts never consume a send. When verification thins a batch, discovery continues until the day's target is met with reachable people.

Your daily cap, not ours

You choose how many prospects per day and how many emails per day. The system works inside those numbers rather than optimising for volume.

Exclusions are permanent

Thumbs down a company and it's excluded from future prospecting and sending. Thumbs down a title and that role stops being pulled entirely.

Nothing happens silently

Every run produces a recap email and a log entry, including runs that found nothing and the reason why.

What happens when your ICP runs dry

Every narrow ICP exhausts eventually, and most automation just quietly returns zero — which is when customers cancel. fkngrow escalates instead: it mines deeper into companies it already knows match, then goes looking for fresh domains, then relaxes department filters while keeping the seniority floor, then widens the ICP's headcount and location ranges. Each escalation is reported in the recap, so you can see it auto-broadened rather than wondering why yesterday's prospects look different.

Prospecting automation FAQ

What is prospecting automation?

Software that runs the outbound motion on a schedule instead of when you remember: finding new companies that match your ICP, pulling verified contacts, drafting and sending a capped number of emails per day, and reporting what happened.

Isn't automated prospecting just spam?

It is when volume is the only input. Automation is legitimate when targeting is narrow, every address is verified, daily volume is capped and recipients can opt out. The automation should remove the admin, not the judgement.

What happens when the automation runs out of prospects?

That's the failure mode most tools ignore. fkngrow escalates: mines deeper into known matching companies (up to 15 people per company), finds fresh domains, relaxes department filters while keeping a seniority floor, then broadens the ICP ranges — and tells you in the recap what it changed.

Can I stay in control of an automated system?

You set the daily prospect count and send cap, edit the ICP at any time, and train it with thumbs up and down on titles and companies. A thumbs down excludes that title or company from all future prospecting and sending.

How do I know what it did while I wasn't looking?

A daily recap email lists everyone contacted with company, title, email and a LinkedIn link where available, plus one-click feedback on each title and company. There's also a per-website outreach log with every send, failure and queued message.

Do I need a big list to start?

No. You start with a website URL. The ICP and the list are produced by the tool, which is the part manual prospecting spends most of its time on.
